Our team is designing an educational driving game to teach teens to be good drivers.
what is Brake Point
Team Brake Point created an educational experience aimed at making Pennsylvania teens better drivers. Our client, ARIN Intermediate Unit 28, has many years of experience teaching Indiana county teen drivers in the classroom and behind the wheel. The goal for ARIN was to provide drivers with new, more engaging and interactive way to study for their driver’s permit and driver’s license exam. Our team has developed a story-based experience on mobile platform in order to mix together visual, tactile, and auditory learning. Within our experience, teens collect educational lessons on driving inside of the context of a story. Alongside the driving facts and laws in our experience, teens hear the story of a teenager who died in a car accident. Through this combination of facts and emotion we want to help our players to learn the information needed to pass their permit exam in PA, but also provide more real world context and emotion into their learning with the aim of making them better drivers than if they didn’t play our game.
This semester we made a slice of a much larger experience that will teach teens what they need to know to pass their permit test and drive on the road.
