As we progress throughout the semester, we will be posting tutorials, demos, and general implementation documents through our wiki. In the meantime, check out all the hardware we’ve managed to get running with Unity!
Phidgets
Phidgets microcontrollers allow users to implement a variety of different pieces of hardware. This system was integrated in unity while still allowing for a large variety of hardware useage.
Microsoft Kinect
The Microsoft Kinect, a motion and body recognition system, was implemented with the use of the openNI and NITE architecture.
Head-Mounted Display
The Head Mounted Display allows a player to view a virtual world first hand. Alongside magnetic trackers a player can fully move within a virtual environment.
Nintendo Wiimotes
The Nintendo Wiimote is a simple system to track the movement of a player. This system was implemented with a simple workup using the uniWii port.
