We decided our final three ideas and iterated them so that they are easier to understand and the emotion in the story is strong. Also we have setup our website and the content in the website will be updated as soon as possible. And we made a plan for next week about testing three mechanisms in our three different ideas. We are really satisfied about what we have right now.

On Monday, we talked our initial 5 ideas with Carl and Erin to see if our direction was correct and our story was clear enough. However, in the meeting, we found that although our stories were very complete with many details, we did not express the emotion in the story clearly. And the reason is that the story we have is not based on our personal feeling and cannot be related with ourselves. So eventually the story is just a pure set of words without a strong feeling. Based on the feedback from Carl and Erin, we decided to brainstorm and come up with some new ideas that will focus on universal theme so that it will be easier for us to expend story and put our personal emotion into the story. Our first step was to come up with 30 different story ideas everyone and chose three favorites ideas. Then we had a team meeting on Wednesday to discuss our ideas and chose the final 5 stories.

After that we had a team meeting with Carl and Erin again to discuss our latest ideas – not complete but the story line and emotion has been decided. In the meeting, we received many useful feedback and got many information about what needs to be done before make the final decision. After the meeting, we iterated our story and finally we have something that looks like an complete idea. Yes!

Team photo

We took our team photo with Carl’s help on Wednesday.
