We are a team of 4 students from Entertainment Technology Centre, Carnegie Mellon University. We are dedicated to design, develop and implement SMALLab learn lessons\/games to be used in 3rd to 8th grades so that educators can introduce\/reinforce learning concepts in various subjects.<\/p>\n<h3>SMALLab:<\/h3>\n<p>SMALLab (Situated Multimedia Art Learning Lab) is a mixed-reality learning environment, which uses motion-capture camera(s), short-throw projector(s) and wireless controller(s) to immerse players in dynamic game-based scenarios, where they can interact with each other and digital game elements in real time in shared physical space.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h4>Game 1 : Cupcake Wars Game<\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li>Concept we want to let kids practice: +-\u00d7\u00f7Basic Measurement<\/li>\n<li>Target demographics: 3rd ~ 5th graders<\/li>\n<li>Why we chose this theme:\n<ul>\n<li>kids are familiar with \u201cCupcake Wars TV Series\u201d<\/li>\n<li>kids\u00a0like cute artistic style<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4>Game 2 : Robot Programming Puzzle<\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li>Concept we want to emphasize: logical step by step thinking<\/li>\n<li>Target demographics : 7th to 8th graders<\/li>\n<li>Why we chose this theme:\n<ul>\n<li>programming teacher uses robot at school<\/li>\n<li>possibility for augmented reality<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><a class=\"fasc-button fasc-size-xlarge fasc-type-popout fasc-rounded-medium\" style=\"background-color: #339e51; color: #ffffff;\" href=\"https:\/\/projects-old.etc.cmu.edu\/kinetics\/index.php\/development-log\/\" data-fasc-style=\"background-color:#339e51;color:#ffffff;\">ENTER<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Welcome!
