We had a good adviors meeting today, they like what we have so far. For my side, I finally got us permissions with Steve Audia for Perforce and Unity Asset Server. Now its time for us to get clear how to use any of this then I think we are ready to go as a team.<\/p>\n
Perforce\u00a0 —> Any necessary none game related work to be backed up and version-control.<\/p>\n
Unity Server —> Anything that need to be in game is going to store and version-control at here.<\/p>\n
Randon —> Anything massive file size, such as movie or image sequences.<\/p>\n
Naming convention,<\/p>\n
Prefix_(which version control, u<\/strong> means unity and p<\/strong> means perforce)_andrewID_(File content)<\/p>\n Unity related files —> EX: md_u_mtsai1_9mmBullet.ma<\/p>\n Perforce related files —-> md_p_mtsai1_dummyBox.ma<\/p>\n Any files on randon can be named anything you want, but we recommanded if its for project use in programming, better stay with our format.<\/p>\n Here are the noticeable prefix we are using,<\/p>\n models —> md<\/p>\n textures —> tx<\/p>\n sounds —> sfx<\/p>\n And this will go though team emails tonight.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" We had a good adviors meeting today, they like what we have so far.
