We are all excited and want to do our best to make it the best project!<\/p>\n<p>EA wants a snowball fight game on Connect TV, which is connecting your\u00a0phones or other mobile devices to the set-top box, and using those mobile devices as controllers to play games on the TV; in this case it means throwing snowballs towards each other. This\u00a0is a game designed for a family to relax and have fun. EA\u00a0already have some game features\u00a0in mind: the game should support both single-player (against AI) and local multiplayer mode; it should be suitable for a family, and its target players are children from elementary to junior high. Regarding game mechanics, the game should involve crafting of snow fort and shooting of snowballs.<\/p>\n<p>After hearing about this, we discussed for a while and came up with some rough ideas:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The game has two parts, crafting and fighting. This can make the play-style more funny and diverse<\/li>\n<li>In order to be friendly to children and family, the art style should be cute<\/li>\n<li>Also sound effect should be both exciting and cute<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>In the very first week, our game designer, Jerry, suggested that we should design the different mechanics separately, find the sweet spot of each mechanics; the mechanics are: crafting, shooting and dodging. And each of the three programmers prototype one mechanic.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.wenyu-wu.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/01\/dodge.jpg\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-313\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-313 size-medium\" src=\"http:\/\/www.wenyu-wu.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/01\/dodge-300x148.jpg\" alt=\"dodge\" width=\"300\" height=\"148\" \/><\/a><a href=\"http:\/\/www.wenyu-wu.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/01\/construct.jpg\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-312\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-312\" src=\"http:\/\/www.wenyu-wu.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/01\/construct-300x275.jpg\" alt=\"construct\" width=\"300\" height=\"275\" \/><\/a><a href=\"http:\/\/www.wenyu-wu.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/01\/ch.jpg\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-282\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-282 size-medium\" src=\"http:\/\/www.wenyu-wu.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/01\/ch-300x167.jpg\" alt=\"ch\" width=\"300\" height=\"167\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Those are the three prototypes: dodging, construction and shooting.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>It is the start of a new semester.
